19 of the Russian's twenty-one titles have been won on hardcourt
A resurgent the Russian player won his maiden title for nearly 30 months with success over opponent Moutet in the competition final.
The athlete, a ex- top-ranked player, has had a difficult year, achieving just one win at the big events and suffering a meltdown at the US Open.
The player's unpredictability on the professional circuit - and difficulties with his service game in especial - resulted in him exiting of the top ten and finally separating with long-term coach Cervara.
Now working with his coach and Goetzke, Medvedev has consistently advanced in the last few weeks - peaking in a closely contested 7-5 4-6 6-3 win over challenger Moutet.
This marks the player's first trophy after the Rome competition and maiden on a hard surface since March of 2023.
Victory also signifies the Russian has won 21 titles at 21 different tournaments.
"This marks the first occasion I am participating in a tournament with my children simultaneously, so to win a title is especially meaningful," stated tennis professional the champion.
"This victory is in honour of my second daughter my daughter, because the initial championship I achieved when my child my daughter was born was for her."
Medvedev, the former major winner, had lost his previous six title deciders, featuring in the German tournament earlier this year.
Medvedev's defensive approach and frequent emotional displays on the tennis court had led commentators to wonder if his skill to compete at the top level was concluded.
Yet the 29-year-old has altered his approach in recent weeks, attempting to approach the net and compete aggressively, reinforced by an enhanced service.
He came back from a disadvantage in the first set against the tricky opponent, winning four of the last five points to take the lead.
The competitors exchanged break points in the following set before the Frenchman, attempting for his initial tour championship, seized the initiative to push for a final set.
Moutet saved 4 early opportunities in a tight final set before Medvedev broke to 15 to serve for the match.
Fittingly, he clinched the win with a point at the net, with Moutet failing to handle a return after a lengthy match.
