The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to promote next month's boxing match.
Former two-time world heavyweight champion Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to really want to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
In spite of these statements, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would prevent the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters participated in the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly happening.
